In case you missed it, you can still catch the AMM here: https://www.abparamedicsamm.com/ (The AMM is eligible for 6 CE credits in the 2020/2021 CC cycle.)

Thank you to everyone who watched live, or has since watched, the fifth Annual Members’ Meeting of the Alberta College of Paramedics on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. The event was again hosted virtually this year, making it the second year for a solely virtual broadcast, and allowing the College to keep with current health orders and restrictions.

This virtual delivery also ensures any member from across the province can attend the AMM and ask questions from anywhere in the province – eliminating the need to travel or take time off work. For the virtual delivery, we also used the Pigeonhole question and answer platform again. However, this year the event opened two days before to allow for members to pre-submit questions. The event remained open for four additional days after the AMM to allow for any questions that came to mind after the fact, or for those who weren’t able to immediately engage in the broadcast. At the end of the submission period (May 23 – May 29), a total of 49 questions were submitted.

This year the panel consisted of the CEO, Registrar and President. In previous years, the Vice President of Risk and Finance would have presented the finance update, however it was presented by the CEO this year. This also reduced presentation time, which effectively increased the amount of time the panel had to answer questions from members.

Year-over-year Pigeonhole stats:

As of June 1, there were 723 views of the video through Facebook and there were more than 200 members who registered for the event through the Alberta Media House platform (for credits). The AMM will be available to view and complete the attendance questions to be able to qualify for 6 CC credits until September 30.

The complete list of Pigeonhole questions, with answers to the ones not addressed live, can be found here.
