Return to Practice for former members who have let their practice permits lapse or have had their practice permit cancelled.

Return to Practice applies if the former member is deemed to have met currency in practice requirements.

To determine currency in practice the Registrar reviews:

  • if the paramedicine education program was completed within the previous year,
  • if the former member was employed in paramedicine within the last two years or
  • if the former member was registered with the College within the last 12 months.

If none of these requirements are met, the Registrar may request the former member complete a refresher or upgrading program, such as BLS or ALS certification, ITLS or NRP certification before approving reinstatement.

Depending on each applicant’s situation additional certification may be required.

To complete the return to practice process, all other College registration requirements including providing proof of valid professional liability insurance and submitting payment of fees must be met.
