Thank you to everyone who watched live, or has since watched, the fifth Annual Members’ Meeting of the Alberta College of Paramedics on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. The event was hosted virtually for the third year in a row. This helped to ensure anyone who was able to join us could be part of the updates on the profession, and the live conversation without having to worry about travel or costs. The virtual platform also allows for those unable to join us live, to watch at a later date. The panel consisted of the CEO, Registrar and President. It was decided this year to cut the AMM scheduled time down by 30 minutes and the event ran from 1pm to 2pm. This was done to be respectful of the time of our regulated members.

For the virtual delivery, we also used the Pigeonhole question and answer platform again. The question period opened two days before to allow for members to pre-submit questions. The question period remained open for four additional days after the AMM to allow for any questions that came to mind after the fact, or for those who weren’t able to immediately engage in the broadcast. At the end of the submission period (May 22 – May 28), a total of 43 questions were submitted.

Year-over-year Pigeonhole stats:

As of June 1, there were 467 members who registered for the event through the Alberta Media House platform (for credits). The AMM will be available to view and complete the attendance questions to be able to qualify for 6 CC credits until September 30.

The complete list of Pigeonhole questions, with answers to the ones not addressed live, can be found here.
