November has flown by, and we are already approaching the end of the year. As we settle into the winter months, I hope everyone gets the opportunity to bundle up and unwind with friends and family.
Challenge coin orders continue to come in, as does encouraging, positive feedback for this new initiative. When we dreamt up these anniversary designs, we couldn’t have anticipated just how astounding the sheer interest and passion in the community would be. Thank you to everyone who ordered a coin and shared your thoughts, and for those still waiting to receive your own, please know that our staff are working hard to fulfill the orders.
The College is in the final steps of testing our Learning Management System (LMS) app. We’ll be sharing more information with the launch of this app in an upcoming article, so stay tuned. In other exciting news, the LMS team is also nearing completion of the Documentation course, which will be our third course available on the LMS. While you wait for the newest course, have you explored our newly launched LMS site yet? This website has had a makeover, with new resources, smoother functionality and increased technical support. There is also a form for feedback, which I recommend taking a moment to fill out; the team is eager to know your thoughts, questions and concerns regarding the new site and the LMS content.
On behalf of Council, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to our recently departed Council members, regulated members Adam Swendsen and Alex Tetoff, and Lynda Cherry, our long-standing public Council member. Your dedication to Council will be missed, and it was a pleasure working alongside you all. We are excited in turn to welcome our two new regulated members, Chris de Vries and Joshua Brown, to the Council table.
The College and Council are now in our final stages of review for the 2024/2025 Annual Report. This will be available on our website soon for all those interested in reading year-end reviews and learning more about the budget and operations of the College.
I’ll sign off my final message of this year with best wishes for a heartwarming holiday season full of good food, great company and the time to breathe and take it all in.
Sincerely,
Wendy Dugas, CEO
