Yesterday, the Alberta government announced the launch of the Alberta EMS Advisory Committee. This is in response to a growing demand for EMS services in our province. Throughout this pandemic there have been record high call volumes combined with staffing shortages which has led to a massive strain on the system and all our regulated members trying their best to meet the overwhelming demand. This committee will work together to provide recommendations for EMS services moving forward. The College is pleased to be a part of the committee and looks forward to working alongside the other members to ensure the highest quality of care for Albertans.
