To practice any regulated healthcare profession in Alberta, practitioners must be registered with their regulatory college. All colleges have the same basic requirements for registering practitioners under the overarching Health Professions Act, and from there, each profession has a set of regulations, Bylaws, Standards of Practice and polices that further define the requirements for registration.
