Many regulated members’ liability insurance policies expire at the end of the calendar year. As you are required by legislation to have active insurance to legally practice, the College’s system is set up to automatically suspend anyone who does not have valid liability insurance details on their profile.
We wanted to remind you to take a few moments over the holiday season to log into your portal and ensure your liability insurance information is up to date. We do not receive this information from your provider. In the event your practice permit is suspended due to expired insurance, you must log into your portal and update your policy on file. After a few minutes, your permit will be changed back to active.
If you need to purchase a new policy still, Lloyd Sadd – Berkley Canada is offering a group rate on liability insurance to all regulated members of the College. The annual premium is $65 + $4 service fee. This coverage does not require an additional membership or fee – just the annual premium. For more information on this liability insurance plan click here.
If you have any questions about updating your policy details or need any assistance, you can call the office or email info@ABparamedics.com. Please note, the office will be closed December 24 – January 2.
