The Alberta College of Paramedics determines what must be taught at each level of designation of paramedicine in accordance with the 2011 National Occupational Competency Profiles (NOCP). Alberta paramedicine education programs must meet these standards and teach to the requirements outlined by the College to be an approved education provider. All education programs are required to undergo a rigorous program approval prior to offering the program. All approved education programs are required to undergo routine program reviews by the College.

Please provide examples of the deficiencies as they relate to the Alberta College of Paramedics current competency framework . What are your expectations of competency development versus what you have observed. If you list instances in which you noted these deficiencies, please do so without identifying individuals.
