The following message is shared on behalf of the Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators (COPR) in relation to the development of the Pan-Canadian Paramedic Essential Regulatory Requirements (PERRs). The goal of the PERRs project is to develop a model that includes both competencies and standards that will inform entry to practice education and key areas of regulation that impact your practice. The Alberta College of Paramedics encourages all members to take a moment to participate in the following survey as the information collected will influence this model.

You are invited to participate in a Consultation and Validation survey for the Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators, which is available at:

https://www.research.net/r/PERRs_Survey

Your feedback on draft content that is included in the Pan-Canadian Paramedic Essential Regulatory Requirements (PERRs) can have a positive influence on paramedic practice in Alberta and across Canada.

This is your chance to verify that the content reflects current practice expectations of all paramedics across these designations:

  • Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
  • Primary Care Paramedic (PCP)
  • Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP)
  • Critical Care Paramedic (CCP)

You will be asked to provide input on roles (e.g., Expert in Out of Hospital Care), practice standards (e.g., patient assessment, diagnosis, interventions) and example tasks and activities (e.g., wound care, airway management).

The survey closes on December 17, 2022.

Start Now! You can complete the survey over several days or weeks.

Paramedics who complete the survey are eligible for one of 10 gift cards, each valued at $100.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact COPR at info@copr.ca
