In September, the College shared that it would be recruiting for a new position of Deputy Registrar to work closely with the Registrar and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure the effective regulation of the paramedic profession in Alberta.
The College is pleased to introduce the new Deputy Registrar, Rhea Bell. She will be starting in April 2024 after enjoying a few more months of maternity leave.
About Rhea:
Rhea grew up and started her EMS career in Manitoba. She completed her PCP diploma in 2010 in Manitoba and her Advanced Care Paramedic diploma in 2013 in Saskatchewan. During her career prior to moving to Alberta, she has worked on ground ambulance, emergency medical dispatch, air ambulance and spent time teaching PCPs. In 2019, Rhea accepted a supervisor position in Grande Prairie working for Alberta Health Services. In her spare time, she completed a business degree and her MBA with a focus on women in leadership. Rhea’s career brought her to the Edmonton area as she worked as a supervisor and subsequent manager for AHS EMS supporting the mental health of practitioners.
When she is not working, she enjoys her time with her husband and son, loves travelling and is an avid foodie!
