The Alberta College of Paramedics (College) has been made aware that the Paramedic Association of Canada (PAC) experienced a privacy breach on January 11, 2024.
The breach consisted of information from 2018 including regulated members’ registration number, first name, last name, address, phone number and email information. We have been in contact with PAC since being notified of this breach and will continue to work with them as necessary.
We understand that this information may cause some uncertainty and want to assure our members that their information with the College remains secure and private. We take member information and privacy extremely seriously and conduct regular and frequent checks and balances to ensure no breaches occur.
We will continue to work with PAC as necessary and expect PAC to commit to being open and transparent throughout this process with the College and our regulated members. We understand the stress that a situation such as this can cause and we encourage anyone that has questions or concerns to reach out to PAC by emailing info@Paramedic.ca. As more updates are available, we will provide further information.
