All members are invited to participate in the 2025 Proposed Bachelor of Paramedicine Survey, opening on March 3, 2025.
As addressed in the Registrar’s message in January, the College has been working with educators and stakeholders to develop a new education curriculum for paramedicine. The proposed curriculum will enhance education requirements for future EMRs, PCPs and ACPs. Members already in the field will not be required to update their education to continue practicing, although the new framework will ultimately provide practitioners the opportunity to advance their education by pursuing a Bachelor of Paramedicine degree.
This short survey will gather information on members’ interest in advancing paramedic education in Alberta and continuing their own education to complete a Bachelor of Paramedicine degree program. Depending on the length of comments you choose to share, the survey should take approximately 1-3 minutes. All active practitioners will receive a link to complete the survey through an online survey tool. Responses will be anonymous, and none of your information (other than the survey responses you provide) will be collected. Members will have until the survey closes on March 21 to complete it.
We invite all members to complete this survey and contribute your voice to reshaping the future of the paramedic profession. A summary of the findings and answers to the most frequently asked questions will be compiled for a future article of The Pulse.
