The College is excited to announce that the new member portal is ready to launch on Monday, March 7. The transition to the Alinity platform, offered by Alberta-based SoftWorks Group Inc. was brought on by overwhelming feedback from members about the current portal being outdated, not intuitive and overall frustrating. The member portal launch is being separated into four phases. The first phase includes an updated look and feel to the platform, a more mobile-friendly system, a simplified process for registration and adding continuing competence credits.

The College has compiled a list of FAQs that include anticipated questions during the transition period and once the portal launches. We will continue to add frequently asked questions as they come up and members can reference this resource when needed.

Due to the radically different technology between our old system and Alinity there was some data that could not be transferred over. These include:

  • Employment records
  • Registration with another jurisdiction
  • Provisional registration numbers will now start with a P to align with the Health Professions Act (HPA)
  • 2021/2022 CC cycle credits that have been entered this member year
    • Members will not be able to view previous CC cycle credits at this time as they will not be converted until a future release this year

On Monday, March 7, members will receive an email from the College with instructions on how to log-in to the program for the first time. Once logged in, we encourage all members to familiarize themselves with the system, check to ensure their information is correct, to update profile information which includes adding employment records and if you are registered with another health regulator or in another jurisdiction. If you are concerned your registration details and/or history is not accurate, contact memberportal@ABparamedics.com.

Those who entered Continuing Competence activities for 2021/2022 will need to re-enter their activities. These members will receive an email with instructions on how to re-enter their Continuing Competence activities for this member year again before renewal.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact info@ABparamedics.com.
