In July 2021 the Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators (COPR) announced an initiative to develop Pan-Canadian Essential Regulatory Requirements (PERRs). PERRs will describe the expectations for safe, effective and ethical performance by paramedics to inform provincial regulatory practice standards and support the use of PERRs by educators, employers and other key stakeholders.

PERRs is now recruiting for two volunteer committees:

1.    Essential Requirements Committee (ERC)
2.    Subject Matter Expert Committee (SMEC)

You can play a role in defining essential regulatory requirements, if you are knowledgeable about current practice in any levels of paramedic practice.

Deadline to apply is Monday, September 27, 2021. For more information and how to apply click here.

The Project Steering Committee meets in early October to appoint the committee members.
